Uploading Your Digital Photos

About adding (uploading) photos

Adding or uploading photos refers to the process of transferring the digital files from your camera or your local disk drive into your online albums on First4Fotos Web site.

Digital camera owners : First, transfer the photos to your local disk drive. Then transfer files from your browser using the easy to use Image Uploader.

You must create an album before you can add photos.

For best results you should convert photos to JPEG (.jpg) files before adding them to your First4Fotos albums.

Creating a new album

  1. Click Albums and then click the New Album button at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Enter a name for your new album, and click the new album button again

Adding photos using the Image Uploader - for Multiple Photo Upload

  1. Select destination Album from dropdown box.
  2. Select source directory.
  3. Drag & Drop photos from source directory to Upload box.
  4. Press the 'Upload' button to start process.

Tips

You can select all images from a directory by clicking any single image then clicking the “Select All” button.

Place your mouse pointer over any image, hold down the left mouse button & drag them all into the upload box in one go.

If you place your mouse pointer over an image, a small circle will appear in the bottom corners of the images. Clicking them will rotate your image through 90 degrees each time they clicked.

Upload time

It can take as little as a few seconds or as long as several minutes to upload each image. The time will vary, depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the file size of the photo.

Once you have started the Upload process you must not move from the upload page or the process will stop.

You can however open another copy of your browser (click Explorer icon again) and continue browsing other pages without interrupting the upload process.
